Getting your Learners Licence
Before booking in for practical driving lessons you will need to pass the road code test to get your learners licence.
To prepare for the learners Licence Test you will need to learn the road rules from the Road Code.
On the NZTA website you can learn all the questions and answers for your theory test.
The questions you will have to answer for the Learners Licence test are taken from these questions. Read the questions carefully, note the answers on the day of the test will be in multi choice format.

You can sit the test at any driver licencing office a list of these are available on the NZTA Web Site: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/licence/getting/cars/car-licence.html.
When you go to sit the test remember to take the following:
Your Birth Certificate or Passport
A Bill or Bank statement, these documents must be no older than 6 months and need to show your name and current address in print.
Pay the Fee of $96.10.
